Ringing back the timeless beauty of authentic craftsmanship and rare zardozi techniques, the “पाँच-पत्ति Lehenga” is an ode to the nostalgic bridal-wear of the Indian subcontinent. Hand-cut “succha gota” पत्ति are aesthetically placed in signature Divani “chakor pattern” on a “sindoori” skirt complimented with a “zardozi-dapka” border. The ensemble revisits the “single taar technique” technique of embroidery and combines it with the aged दबका-नक़्शी. Drawing inspiration from the old-world tissue “ओढ़ना”, Divani reinterprets the iconic “सलमा-सितारा ओढ़ना” for this collection. Teamed with a “जालनुमा ज़रदोज़ी चोली” boasting of “बाजूबन्ध” and “मेहराब” pattern. The “पाँच-पत्ति Lehenga” is an ensemble for brides who romanticise nostalgia.
